According to Sputniknews, Veronica Nikishina, general manager of the Russian Export Center, said that the new regulations on Chinese imported food labels will protect the rights of Chinese consumers and increase their trust in imported products.
The General Administration of Customs of China (GACC) previously issued Decree 249 (Foodmate reported), which was implemented from January 1, 2022.
Nikishina said that China's request for Russian exporters should be regarded as a promotion and a new opportunity for the official government.
She explained, “After the implementation of these requirements, foreign companies must indicate their registration number on the inner and outer packaging of food exported to China, which will allow Chinese consumers to check the manufacturer if necessary and distinguish between genuine and counterfeit products. It will greatly increase the level of trust in imported products.”
She pointed out that in 2022, the Russian Export Center plans to actively promote Russian products online.
Nikishina concluded, "Digitalization will maximize the coverage of the business environment in China and all its industries. only the Internet network and social network can have the opportunity to quickly provide their products to the whole of China, allowing potential partners to have direct access to each other".
